The Diary of Anne Frank
Anne
You need courage to achieve things
In the diary of Anne Frank one theme is you need courage to achieve things. Here is a quote from the text. "Now about the noise. While the men are in the building below, we must have complete quiet. Every sound can be heard down there, not only in the work rooms but in the offices to." One example of that theme is how the families needed to stay quiet and not make any noise while the workers were there. Another example is that they couldn't flush the toilet when the workers were there. If they did that then the workers would here the pipes. The third example is that they couldn't run the water. They couldn't do that because the workers would here the water running.
Another theme in The Diary of Anne Frank is family will always be there for you when you need them. Here is a quote from the text. "I'de rather have father." One example of this theme is when Anne had a nightmare. She needed her father and he was there for her. Another example of this theme is when everyone was mad and Mr. Van Daan because he was stealing the bread. He needed comfort and Mrs. Van Daan was there for him. The third example is when Mr. Dussel was yelling at Anne for screaming when she had a nightmare. She needed someone to comfort her so Mr. Frank comforted her.
