Students Move to Higher Order Thinking
A Socratic seminar is a formal discussion, based on a text, in which the leader asks open-ended questions. Within the context of the discussion, students listen closely to the comments of others, thinking critically for themselves, and articulate their own thoughts and their responses to the thoughts of others. EES students in Mrs.Tokar's class are shown participating in a Socratic seminar.
Breakout!
EES students had a great time trying to "breakout" in the media center. This challenging activity requires high level thinking. Word has it that students were so excited they might have been trying to "break in" to the media center to have a turn! #breakoutEDU
