Monochromatic Landscape
World Trade Center, New York
Elements of Art and Principles of Design
In my monochromatic landscape which includes the World Trade Center in New York, I have used the element of art, value. I organized value to create the principle of design, movement. Movement is the direction the viewers eyes go across the art work. The different shades and tints cause the viewers eyes to move a certain way along the artwork whether it’s the tints to shades or shades to tints.

History and Culture
The Twin Towers or World Trade Center is located at New York, NY 10006 and was initially finished in 1973, although tenants began to arrive in December of 1970. The World Trade Center was hub of the bustling Financial District, a top tourist attraction and a symbol of New Your City’s-and America’s-steadfast devotion to progress and the futureThe World Trade Center was partly to give hope to America showing they had a new start, it was also to give proof that New York had belief in itself, it helped restored confidence and helped bring a halt to the decline of lower Manhattan. The location was selected due to the exhibit’s organizer, Winthrop W. Aldrich, headed a new state agency whose proposed goal was a permanent trade exposition based in New York

Personal Responce
I chose to research the World Trade Center due to the impact it had on America after it was attacked. This landmark is still relevant even in todays generation due to the fact how many lives were lost and for who caused it, I felt this did drag our country down but once they tracked down the leader of the organization and assassinated him it gave our country a feeling of patriotism. This landmark should still be up today, what happened on that day was uncalled for. Everyone on that day who lost their lives had something and they took it away to prove a point that was shut down a few years later.
