NEISD College Night will be virtual this year. The link below will provide information regarding registration, times for the events, and a list of schools participating. Students can explore colleges and have the opportunity to visit with college representatives.

NEISD Phase In Plan In-Person Instruction
In-person instruction and learning environments are being fostered. Safety guidelines in place include masks are worn by everyone during the school day. Social distancing and disinfecting of of surfaces is maintained throughout the day.
A parent who is opting for their child to remain virtual after October 19th may make a request to change to in-person instruction through the child's counselor. Once students have been accepted to return, parents will receive an email with a return date and more information. The deadlines for requests are:

Thanksgiving Week Curbside Meal Distribution
Hunger impacts a child’s ability to learn. Snack Pak 4 Kids - San Antonio (SP4K- SA) provides weekly food supplements to serve the needs of chronically hungry children, addressing the relationship between food insecurity and learning. At Snack Pak 4 Kids, we believe every teen deserves access to the food they need to learn on Monday mornings. And, by providing them with brand new, brand-name products, we’re able to ensure students are always treated with dignity and respect! Currently our program will serve only IN-PERSON learners at this time. If distance learners needs assistance, please contact M. Mendiola, Family Specialist.

Melissa Mendiola is Roosevelt's Family Specialist. Her email is email@example.com. Ms. Mendiola is available to assist with any needs or issues in a student's home life that can negatively affect a student's ability to excel at school. She is able to provide support and services for all students and their families, creating a true connection between home, school, and community. The family specialist's role is to bridge the gap of communication between parents, the school, and the community and provide resources to families who are experiencing barriers, and to empower all parents to fulfill their role as child’s first teacher.

PSAT Test Registration
In addition, any 11th grader who did not take the PSAT in October can also take the PSAT on this January date as well. 11th graders who already took the PSAT test do not need to sign up again.
When signing up, students will need to use the grade level listed in Skyward as reference. You must be logged into the student's NEISD school account in order to sign up, not a private email such as yahoo or Gmail. The Google form may only be filled out once. If you make a mistake in completing the form or have a question, please contact Ms. Kaylyn Taylor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
