Administering High Quality Colostrum to the Newborn Calf (available in Spanish, also)
Passive immunity in cattle is the short-term immunity transfer from mother to offspring by way of colostrum consumption. This is very important in cattle because during pregnancy there is no transpot of antibodies across the placenta.
