The Columbian Exchange
By: Madeline Connor
Introduction
The Columbian exchange was a trading rout from America to Europe and back. During the exchange good and bad side affects commenced. Things like crops animals and idea's were some of the things that were traded during this time.
Positive
- Animals, crops, and even idea's were traded. The world advanced every day after the trade.
- With horses hunting it was less dangerous and much easier to hunt.
- Also with new foods of many kinds some people made feasts and made new traditions of many kinds.
- Idea's were a great idea to trade cause people made new things every day to make are lives easier.
- These are just some of the good things that were traded during this time. Maybe something you have in your room was exchanged long ago during the exchange.
Negative
- Diseases, fungus, bactcteria , and even smallpox were some of the horrible things that we got(Flu's and stuff) from Asia and Africa.
- diseases (including smallpox) were some of the ways we (Native Americans) decresed in numbers so quickly. Also that helped other countries to defeat the Inca's , The Aztec's ect.
- some fuguses killed most of are (from plants's and trees and all that good stuff). So thousands maybe millions of people died from it.
- Last but the most important slaves. They were used and tochered under there commanders rules. hundreds of people died from these harsh climates.
IS IT A TIE???????
Whether you think it was good or just plain bad I think maybe we could have had a better world. If are worlds were apart. No world wars l and ll, we could not be treated unfairly by some of the other country's. It would also save a lot of electricity and gas from ships, airplanes, and cars. Also we would never be slaves. We would not work in climates almost no-one could survive. That is why I think this was a bad thing but it's truly up to you to decide.
