NGS UPDATES
TX-NGS Data Entry Timelines
Please ensure that your project district encodes the following data in TX-NGS: all enrollments (including the non-enrollees), withdrawals, residency verification dates and all other required TX-NGS data (e.g., LEP, PFS, Supplemental Services, Termination Codes, etc.) for the 2020-2021 school year by October 1, 2021. TX-NGS Specialists should be concentrating on the Spring and Summer of 2021 data that was not entered prior to the system transition.
Fall 2021 data for the 2021-2022 should follow as close as possible the timelines outlined in the 2020-2021 Texas Data Management Requirement Manual – NGS/MSIX.

MSIX UPDATES
Did You Know This About MSIX?
Did You Know…
…how MSIX can help you monitor Course History and Assessment MDE submission? Available to Data Administrators, Primary users, and Secondary users, the Course History Report and Assessments Report can be accessed by selecting the “Reports” page on the left-hand navigation pane.
Start of 2021-2022 Performance Period: View Changes in MSIX
Please note that following the start of the 2021-2022 Performance Period on September 1, 2021, the Performance Period views in MSIX will move forward one year so users will view the 2021-2022 data in the application. For example, MSIX reports will be filterable by the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 Performance Periods instead of the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 performance periods. If you need continued access to report data for the 2019-2020 performance period such as Child Count, we recommend that you use the export feature in MSIX to download a copy of the data for your records.
