Benchmark Testing
Lunches will be altered from normal so we ask that guests not eat with students on these two days due to the fact that students will not be in their normal lunch routine. If it is necessary to drop off a lunch, please do so in the reception office and our staff will get the lunches to your student.
We look forward to seeing the success of our students and their growth thus far in the year.
Cell Phone Reminder
We know cell phones are part of our lives now. Almost all students have them. At times they are becoming a distraction in the classroom. We are seeing an increase of students not using their phones at appropriate or designated times whether in the classroom, cafeteria, or the hallways. We will continue to follow the policy that is outlined in the district student handbook. Our policy states the following:
For safety purposes, the district permits students to possess personal mobile telephones; however, these devices must remain turned off during the instructional day, including during all testing, unless they are being used for approved instructional purposes. A student must have approval to possess other telecommunications devices such as netbooks, laptops, tablets, or other portable computers.
The use of mobile telephones or any device capable of capturing images is strictly prohibited in locker rooms or restroom areas while at school or at a school-related or school-sponsored event.
If a student uses a telecommunications device without authorization during the school day, the device will be confiscated. An administrative fee of $15 may be assessed in order to pick up the confiscated telecommunications device from the office.
