James Dean
American Actor of the 1950's.
Early Life
James Bryon Dean was born February 8th, 1931 in Marion, Indiana to Winton Dean and Mildred Wilson. Winton moved his family to California to pursue a career in dentistry. James was closer to his mother than he was with his father, but a few years later his mother died of uterine cancer and his father sent him to live with his aunt and uncle back in Indiana on a Quaker farm.
Schooling
IN 1949 James graduated from high school and moved back to California. He studied law at Santa Monica College but soon transferred to UCLA and majored in theater. After appearing as Malcom in Macbeth, James dropped out of UCLA and pursued his acting career.

My Reaction
I've always been interested by the 50's and it's movies and actors, so I automatically fell in love with James Dean. I really enjoyed learning more about his life and his bad boy image concealing a gentle personality.
