Early Life

John Kennedy spent most of his childhood sick surrounded by books, in bed.

  • Some of the things he was sick with was Scarlet fever, A whopping cough, Hives, And much more.
  • Even though he read a lot he was a casual and not very concerned student. He graduated 64th out of 112

After he finished college, in 1940, World War 2 had began so john joined the Navy.

He was eventually discharged in 1945 for sicknesses.


Then when Kennedy was 29 (1946) he won the election for congress, representing a Boston district. He was a representative for three terms (getting elected again 1948 and 1950)

About seven months before Kennedy was elected Dwight D Eisenhower had ordered operations to get rid of the Castro from power in Cuba.Before he was president, Kennedy did not like this idea at all, so when Kennedy became president he called off the invasion.

Aftermath

After some time of calling off the invasion he devoloped confidence in the CIA deputy director who was makeing planes for the invasion. Eventually Kennedy agreeded for the invasion to happen, but he had one request which was not to have the landing so close to the city.
"When I was a kid politicians wanted to avoid talking about religion if they could. John F Kennedy couldn't duck the issue, being Catholic and all. So how did he address it?
