Rene Magritte was born in 1898 in Lessines, Belgium. He died in 1967 when he was 68. Rene Magritte painted in an unexpected fashion. Sometimes he painted trains, eggs, fireplaces, guitar necks and a lot more!!!

early life and later life

  • When Rene Magritte was fourteen years old , for some reason his mother died so the Magritte's moved to Charleroi which is another city in Belgium.

  • When Rene Magritte was a little boy a hot-air balloon crashed into there house so they had to bring it in through the window!!!

In Charleroi, Rene Magritte took art lessons, read mystery books, and loved to go to the movies with his brother.
