April is National Poetry Month. Poets use poetry to enlighten society.
During this time of social-distancing consider various creative outlets to express yourself. Do you have something to talk about and expound upon? Was it a Google Hangout discussion that has you viewing your circumstances from a different perspective? Maybe it’s characters you met while reading a prolific novel, poem, or an academic problem you found a solution for.
Each week in April we will post challenges that will allow you to think critically and respond. Hopefully, these challenges will encourage you to create Ted-Ed Student Talks. If you’re interested in going global with a student-led Ted Talk send a video(s) of you discussing topics you addressed this year in English and Social Studies to sclarkdavis@alvinisd.net .Your video will be reviewed and given feedback. Once you submit your video(s) click on the link below to determine how to submit a Student-Led Ted-Ed Talk.
