HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 2 Week 10 Friday 25 June
FROM MARK
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are all at different stages of our own journey. A bit of guidance can help.
The Photos behind the newsletter are of the children, parents and staff, joining together yesterday morning to recite a decade of the rosary. This happens at around 8:20am every Thursday. Your are yours are most welcome.
If you were at the Years 3-6 Cross Country around Jackadder Lake you would have been mightily impressed! The children, big numbers of whom were training before school with Ms Julie Catherall over the last few weeks, were exceptional! Thank you to the many parents who assisted, together with teachers, to Rob Flexman our P.E. teacher who organised the event, and to Julie who had the children running around our oval at a cracking pace! What a sight to see!
Best wishes to all attending the P&F Vegas night tomorrow - no doubt you’ll have a great time! Our P&F are also, with the support of the junior primary parents, running the ever popular Bake Sale on Friday, with children visiting from lunch time and parents and guardians from 2.30.
To celebrate the end of term, our first school mass - for more than a year - is taking place in Church at 9am, also on Friday. It will be led by our Student Leaders and it would be wonderful if you could be a part of this special occasion.
Enjoy the weekend,
Mark
Recent weeks in particular have seen very few unwell children which significantly reduces the spread of illness. There is some nasty stuff about with children away, some for weeks at a time. We always look forward to their return. Again, thank you for your support.

MESSAGE FROM CATHOLIC EDUCATION WESTERN AUSTRALIA
SCHOOL UNIFORMS
Thank you to the five parents who attended the meeting with Permapleat’s National Sales and Marketing Manager, Michael Paulet to discuss all things uniform. This was an open forum for all interested parents to attend.
As noted:
In recent weeks the Permapleat website advises that sports shorts try ons are available at school. Granted this notification could have been added earlier as they have been available at school to try on since late last year.
Sports Shorts (Please try sizing at school before placing order)
In future, sticking to the facts, and addressing any uniform concerns directly with Permapleat is key. If anyone needs help to do this they are welcome to swing by the office for advice on how to do so.
Our Facebook site for the sale of second hand uniforms continues to be precisely that, and no more. It has worked very well in this capacity for a long time. Mindful use of the site will ensure this continues to be the case. Thank you very much for your support.

SEQTA Engage Parent Log-in - Final Reminder
It is important that you please check your log in for SEQTA Engage as early as possible so that you will be able to access your child's report at the end of this term.
To do this you need to go to the following site:

LIBRARY NEWS
BOOK WEEK this year is 21-27 August which is in week 6 of term 3. The famous HR Book Week Parade for children from Pre-Primary to Year 6 will be held on Friday 27th August, and as always, children are encouraged to dress as a character from their favourite book using things that they already have at home. The theme this year is “Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds” and the notable books chosen by the Children’s Book Council of Australia have been very popular in the library. More information will be in the newsletter closer to the time.
Please remind children to bring their library bags to their session next week. Year 1 and up will be able to borrow books over the holidays.
