Discovery and Discussion
Third Grade Engineers Establish Their Companies And Create Names and Logos
Our busy engineers are finding ways to attract their clients by joining forces with others who will complement their strengths. Some have decided to be solo practitioners. They are creating business names, logos and slogans to attract their discriminating clientele. Businesses have chosen problems to solve and will begin designing prototype inventions during their next class.
Open-Ended Questions Frame and Organize Our Research
Both TED-Ed and Discovery Program students are strengthening their research by posing rich open-ended questions to guide their studies. They are citing sources while taking notes about topics ranging from organ donations to writer's block, and from technology's role in improving vision to the future of blobfish. We certainly have a range of interests!
Getting Ready for BB8
Fourth grade Discovery students are very excited about next week's meeting with the engineers behind BB8. They should be preparing questions so that they can make the experience more meaningful and productive.
