Global Warming

Nichele Davidson and Monica Moeller

1700's - Battery

The invention of batteries led to many new inventions and improvements, but it also has its downfalls. Many batteries have toxic or corrosive metals in them, these metals are hazardous waste threats to health in the environment. Production industries are trying to come up with a way to make disposable or rechargeable batteries so that way they will not hurt our environment when burnt out.

1800's - Gas

Think about gas. Gas is what we use everyday to get to work, school, home, the store and many other places. Little do we think about the chemicals being released in the air when using this substance. The level of carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere, as measured later in ancient ice, is about 290 parts per million. This means the production of gas is effecting our ice lands. To lessen this problem, we all need to lower the production and use of green house gas by instead riding bikes, walking, running, and most importantly, car pulling.

1900's - Internet

Did you know the internet is the fastest growing source of carbon emission? The internet is the most popular trend is today's world and keeps increasing by the day with the creation of new electronics. This source of carbon leads to melting glaciers, if sea glaciers all around the world were to melt, sea level would rise about 70 meters and land area would shrink significantly. If the internet was a country, it would be the planet’s fifth-biggest consumer of power, ahead of India and Germany! That means we need to spend a little more time with the real world and less with the electronic one.

2000's - Cell Phones

Going deeper into the internet world, cells phones are the most popular "must have" electronic. As you know, EMF’s are created by radio waves, television waves and cell phones. The use of wireless devices has grown in concern with global warming. There are formulas and diaphragms that prove the increasing velocities of charged atmosphere particles with interaction of carbon and hydrogen. In that case, electromagnetic fields are present which are proved to be both a cause and solution to global warming. To lessen the releasing of bad chemicals, people should spend more time doing activities that are not on their cell phones, kids especially.
