Principal Message
I want to take a moment to say thank you for all you do to support our staff and students at Cedarhome. This week alone, we had a record turn-out for our Watch DOG kick-off, saw families supporting our choir fieldtrip, and saw the end of a successful PTO fundraiser that supports experiences for our students. In addition, thank you for the phone calls and conversations and all the support you provide from home. It is an honor to serve your students!
On Wednesday, we are so excited to have grandparents and grandfriends here in the building. A couple of reminders. We will be checking in guests as they come in. If a guest is not on our RSVP list, we will give a quick phone call home to you to verify. Guests will be invited to classrooms beginning at 9:30. We will make sure guests get to the classrooms of all their students. Our event will end at 11 and if we have heard from you that kids are ok to leave with their guest, they will leave at this time. Please let us know if you have any questions.
I hope you and your family have an amazing long weekend! Reminder that Wednesday is early release at noon, and there is no school Thursday and Friday.

From the Cedarhome Students
"On November 15th, 2022, we walked to the Lincoln Hill Senior Center for a choir fieldtrip. We went to make others feel joy and happiness by singing to them. We sang the Veterans Day songs and 'You Raise Me Up.' It was amazing. We made some people smile and some cry. I love making others happy and I hope we can go there again!"
"First at our choir performance, we sang the armed forces songs to honor the different branches of the military. It was a lot of work but we had perseverance. Then, after we sang the armed forces songs, we sang 'You Raise Me UP.' Some of the seniors cried because it was so beautiful. Last, thank you Mrs. McKagan for teaching us those songs, and being the most AWESOME music teacher ever!"
