A Great Start to the Semester
STEM Visitors
We will be sharing the "Thinkers Thrive at JAE" and the "Don't Miss This" infographics with them. There are SOOOOO many things that make our school special, so hopefully we won't forget to tell them all of the things!
News from the Jack Anderson PTO
We received a quarterly check from Kroger. Thank you for registering JAE on your Kroger Card!
Our largest fundraiser for the year is here! Carnival donations will be accepted starting tomorrow. Please look for the packet that was sent home Friday for details. An email will be sent from your room mom. Please let us know if you would like to volunteer.
Mobile Makerspace
What is a makerspace? It is a place to explore, discover, invent, and create. Ideally, we would have a Makerspace Lab where teachers could take their classes to tinker, build, and design. We don't have a space, but that didn't stop us!
Our library has a great makerspace area where students have the opportunity to use robotics and practice coding. Here are a few of the additional items that we have available in our Mobile Makerspace storage area:
Build: Legos, Lego Friends, Keva Planks, Plus Plus Blocks, K'Nex, Bristle Blocks, Picasso Tiles, Magnetic Gears, Brain Flakes, Goldiblox
Create: Aqua Beads, Origami, Mad Mattr Bricks, Scratch Art, Felt Animals, PomPom Pet Store, Create a Card
Solve: Circuit Maze, Marble Genius, Sum Blox, Pattern Play, Pattern Play Revolution, Gravity Maze
Design: Stikbot Movie Maker, Lego Movie Maker, Play Doh Touch Studio, 3Doodler Pen, Squishy Circuit, 3Doodler Robotics
I hope your kids will love these things! Let me know if you have any suggestions.
