The Alabama Red Bellied Turtle, is native to Alabama. The red belly inhabits the fresh to brackish waters of the Mobile Delta in Mobile and Baldwin Counties. The Alabama red-bellied turtle and related species are often seen basking on logs. It is found nowhere else in the world. They are endangered due to high water levels and habitat destruction. This turtle helps The delta by keeping the delta's water clen from all the leaves and vegetation that get in the water. By reporting the animal to the local wildlife station or by simply helping there habitats in some way like keeping from high water levels from destroying or men made buildings damns destroying it protest against it.
