From the Principal's Desk
Happy Friday!
We are at the end of our first five-day week of the school year. It's been very busy here with lots of great learning.
Fifth Grade Advisories started our Second Step Bullying Prevention program today. If you have any questions about that, please reach out to Laura Gourlay, school counselor.
All Advisories have now completed our Chromebook education and students have been issued their Chromebooks. If you have any questions about Chromebook education or expectations, please refer to our Blended Learning Handbook which can also be found at the bottom of our School Website (and there is a whole lot of additional information there as well!)
This week all students wrote a short summary about a video they watched on Digital Citizenship. This summary will be part of a series that students will write this year and added to their writing portfolio. One of our school goals is to increase comprehension through effective summary writing.
GBS Open House will be on Wednesday October 6th - stay tuned for more details!
I hope you all have a great weekend.
Be well,
Mrs. Foecking

Don't miss our annual Grape Big Yard Sale on 9/18!
Pick up what you need at a fraction of the cost! The best part? It's for a great cause!
Head down to the front lawn of the Grapevine to shop for new and gently used items of all varieties at our GRAPE BIG Yard Sale during the Antrim Home & Harvest event! We have so much great stuff waiting for you, as we weren’t able to hold the sale last year (due to COVID). All proceeds to benefit Grapevine children’s programs. Saturday, September 18 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. (If it rains we'll move it to the following day of 9/19!)
We are looking for volunteers to help during the yard sale. If you are willing and able, please email Carol at caroll@grapevinenh.org!
Introducing Stay & Play!
Are you the parent of a child(ren) ages birth to four and looking to connect with other parents and kids? The Grapevine’s new Stay n’ Play parent/child group is beginning at the end of September! Join us in our outdoor environment on Tuesdays from 12:30pm to 2pm to meet other families, have discussions about child and family-centered topics, and give your kids an opportunity to socialize and play!
Space is limited – please email Carol at The Grapevine for more info and to register: caroll@grapevinenh.org
Strong Living for Seniors
Come exercise with this fun group as we focus on aging gracefully!
This free community-based program promotes opportunities for older adults to increase their physical activity, while also connecting in a social atmosphere. The exercise program helps participants improve levels of balance, strength, and fitness in a low-impact way. You will focus on strengthening arms and legs, joint mobility, and ways to help maintain activities of daily living, such as walking up stairs, reaching, and dressing.
The Strong Living Exercise Program is for any senior member of the community. Please call The Grapevine for more information, exact dates and times, and to register.
As cooler weather approaches, please keep in mind that we have a Community Wood Bank at the Grapevine that is intended to be a temporary, emergency source of heat for those in need. Call us at 603-588-2620 for information.
