A Note From Mrs. Waters
We had a great Thanksgiving celebration of stone soup. Thank you for sending in the ingredients to make it. I hope you will have a great extra long weekend with your family. Happy Thanksgiving!
Next week will be the first grade concert, "A Time To Give Thanks!" It will be on Tuesday, November 29. They will be singing exciting songs like "Mashed Potato", "Gratitude Attitude" and "Turkey Woogie". For the concert your child will need to wear jeans and a red shirt.
We will be starting a new units writing and social studies next week. Please read the attached parent unit letters.

Author Visit, Margriet Ruurs' Books
The books we ordered went very quickly, and so, sadly I have a pile of orders that we were not able to fill. The order form we asked you to send out to parents indicated that our supply was limited and it was first come first serve. However, Margriet had a wonderful and generous idea - she uses a great book website called Better World Books where you can get individual orders shipped for free. We have checked into it, and it appears that they do ship to Qatar. So, our plan is to return the order form and money for all unfilled orders with an information sheet that will include the website and how to order the books. We will also include a label with Margriet's signature for each book that was ordered that we were unable to provide. Our goal is always to encourage kids to read, so I hope that this will help in that endeavor.
With much appreciation,
Cindy Wright
