Good Afternoon-
The Wakeland Band auditions went great on Saturday! We will post the audition results Thursday morning at 7:30 AM at: http://www.wakelandband.org/2017-2018-band-placement-results.html

**If your student missed the audition and is not on any roster, please email Mr. Smith at smithchr@friscoisd.org and we will come up with a plan to make sure you are enrolled in band for the upcoming school year. We have a place for everyone!*
Coming up this weekend we have Hype day and Registration day!!
We are very excited to get the 2017 season kicked off and have an opportunity to perform together before the school year ends.
Below are the details for this weekend, if you still have questions feel free to email me.
Boys- Please bring snack bags of chips for the hotdog lunch/social following the performance.
Girls - Bring Dessert (no peanuts/tree nuts) for the hotdog lunch/social following the performance.
Schedule:
7:30am – Band Hall opens for students to begin arriving
8:00am – Registration opens (Choir Room)
Parents will need to head to registration after students have been dropped off.
8:00am – Hype Day begins for students
We will meet in the courtyard outside of the band hall
8:15am – Marching Rehearsal Begins
10:00am – Head inside for Music Rehearsal
12:00pm - Registration Ends
12:30pm – Parent Preview Performance Begins
1:00pm – Performance Concludes
Following the performance there will be a hotdog cook out/social out by the field house. Please stay around, meet other families and ask questions!
3:00pm – Social concludes
What to wear/bring:
· Light colored athletic clothing
-shorts
-t-shirt
-tennis shoes/socks
· Baseball Hat
Hats are required for all outside rehearsals
· Sunscreen
· ½ Gallon or 1 gallon water cooler
Please make sure you bring water
· Small snack to eat in the transition from outside to inside
· Instrument and accessories
· Music will be given to you at Hype Day
· Great attitude to try NEW things!
Registration information:
At registration you will get signed up for the booster association and for the band program. You will begin your payment plan for band fees.
