NHES NEWS

LEARN · LEAD · LOVE

July 15, 2020

Good morning New Hope Family! We hope you all are doing well. We shared the reopening plan via social media as it was released earlier, as well as in yesterday's newsletter. It was also sent via email from the Central Office. We found that some of you were looking for the parent survey that was mentioned. It can be found here: https://www.mcssk12.org/Page/11768 This survey is only for those who plan to enroll their student in virtual school and must be completed by July 20, 2020. It's not for those planning to have your child attend traditional school.

We know this is a lot of information but we ask that you please review the entire plan thoroughly so that you're aware of the conditions/levels under which we'll operate this school year. It's for the safety of our students and staff. Please remember that this plan was created with guidance from local and state health officials as well as the Alabama Department of Education.

This year may be full of transitions and different from anything we've experienced, but we will persevere. Our students' education is important and we will continue to strive to give them the best.

Below you'll find an updated Mission & Vision Statement, school supply lists, and other important info. We look forward to seeing all of those smiling faces very soon!

NHES MISSION AND VISION STATEMENT

It is with great excitement that I am finally able to share our new NHES Mission & Vision. With input from various school stakeholders, our Leadership Team wanted to have statements that reflect our love for the community and the children we serve. We genuinely believe that what makes our school special are the partnerships we have with families and community. We also wanted our mission and vision to reflect our beliefs. We believe everyone can learn at high levels, everyone can be a leader, and respectful relationships promote unity, acceptance, and worth. Thank you for your continued support...and know that we expect great things for your child and our school. #learnleadlove

7TH & 8TH GRADE UPDATE

Due to the reconfiguration of schools, our 7th / 8th grade classes now fall under New Hope High School. We strongly encourage parents of future 7th / 8th graders to connect with NHHS on social media and their website found below. As mentioned in May, they'll be known as New Hope Middle Academy. Their new hours will be 8:30-3:30. Until the new building is complete they will still be located in the existing NHES building but use the new hours listed. Once the building is complete they will transition to that location. More details will be shared as we near the start of the school year. The New Hope High School website can be found here: https://www.mcssk12.org/newhopehighschool. The NHHS Office number is 256.851.3280.

All 7th & 8th grade supplies and information can be found under the

New Hope High School Facebook page. For your convenience and to assist in the transition we've also shared these school supply lists here.
