May 2020 Newsletter
Dixon Strong
Distance learning for DES is in full motion. We continue to provide ongoing educational opportunities and practice for students while school is closed. Thank you very much for your patience and understanding as we have been adjusting, like you, to the drastic changes during the last few weeks. We hope you and your family are safe and healthy as you read this newsletter. We are truly thankful to our students, teachers, staff, and families for their positivity and flexibility and during this time. We are also tremendously appreciative of our doctors, nurses, hospital employees, first responders, state leaders, and essential workers for all they are doing to keep us safe and healthy.

Greetings from Mrs. Batts!
We have had a very busy month of learning. We have been focusing on Earning Before you Spend!
Our favorite stories are Down on Budget Farm and Work to Earn Money. Miss Connie has also picked special read aloud
stories which are about sharing, and the importance of being kind to others. The theme of being kind to others is especially important right now!
Room 208 sure does miss all of your smiling faces and visits!
