Stevens Counseling

The John Paul Steven's Guidance and Counseling Department will provide a comprehensive developmental program addressing the whole child to maximize academic achievement, social and emotional development, and post-secondary college, career and military readiness. We cover the four components of a comprehensive guidance and counseling program:

① guidance curriculum: skill-based classroom lessons

② individual planning: two student meetings to plan a student's educational/career goals

③ responsive services: individual student meetings addressing social/emotional concerns

④ system supports: students services indirectly benefiting students via other programs

College, Career, and Military Center Updates

Classroom Guidance Lesson:

Begins in September. We will be going into World History classes to introduce ourselves to the 9th graders.

Check out our Coping Skills Smore. It is filled with strategies to help you relax and reset your mind.

Small group counseling is provided throughout the year. Students discuss topics like coping skills, problem solving, relationships, and grief to name a few. Students interested can email their counselor, come by the Counseling Office or click here to sign up. (Although we are no longer offering groups this year, we are still taking names for next year. We are also available to spend time with students individually.)
