Principal News!
Greetings Five Forks Families!
All three grade levels have now returned to our building and things are going well. With that said, we have been able to make some very minor adjustments to our schedule that will reduce transition times and add additional time for our students in their academic and connections classes. Additionally, it will provide our teachers with additional time for collaborating with their colleagues.
The new schedule will begin on Monday, September 28th; however, we wanted to give you ample time to review the times and plan accordingly. It is very important that our digital students adhere to the new schedule times and arrive to their classes on time, every class period--every day! Please know that there will be a very slight adjustment on Friday mornings for our Advisement times. This will be communicated to the students by their teachers.
Thank you for your support!
Christine Douthart
Proud Principal, Five Forks MS

Jr BELT Student Leadership Team!
Attention Five Forks Broncos!
Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades are invited to apply for the FFMS Jr. Building Equity Leadership Team (BELT). The Jr. BELT team will meet with Five Forks counselors to amplify student voices in addressing anti-bias equity practices at FFMS. This group will also lead our No Place for Hate activities throughout the school to interrupt bias and mistreatment and highlight inclusion and diverse contributions. Students may apply for the FFMS Jr. Building Equity Leadership Team here: https://bit.ly/3kC1T3w

7th Grade Immunizations Due Now!
Click here for information from GCPS about the state-mandated immunization requirements for students beginning the 7th Grade. If you have been contacted by Five Forks Middle School about the need for an updated Georgia Form 3231 for your child, it is past due and must be submitted to Five Forks for state compliance. We appreciate your cooperation.
Cafeteria News!
All students are able to receive free breakfast and/or lunch under the USDA waiver extension until December 31st. Any families who need free/reduced price meals for their children after the December 31st waiver extension expires should apply online at http://gwinnett.schoollunchapp.com because applications are required each school year. When completing the application, list the names of all your children who attend elementary, middle, and high school on one application form. Completing more than one form may delay your approval. Please note that your online application may take 1 to 2 days for approval. If you have questions regarding your submitted application, please contact the Free and Reduced Help Line at 678-301-6307. If there is no longer a need, then there is nothing you need to do. The cost of school lunch without a waiver is $2.25 in Elementary Schools and $2.50 in Middle and High Schools. Breakfast is $1.50 at all schools, where available.
Media Center News!
Please help our Media Center! In addition to "Boxtops for Education," we collect caps and number/code labels from cartons and cases of all Coca-Cola products! You can turn them in at the school's main office anytime or have your child deliver them to the Media Center. Thanks for your support!
Also, if your child has a Media Center book(s) from last year, even from their elementary school, please bring them to the main office or Media Center so that your child's record can be cleared. We have many overdue books from the spring, so please help us get them returned.
