Astro November Update #2
Dream big. Reach for the stars. Together we achieve success!
We are looking forward to conferences next week. Conferences are an opportunity to connect about school. Your child should also attend conferences. This time together helps to build the connections for a positive school experience. Please make sure you have signed up for a conference time.
There is information below from Mr. Clark, and Mr. Kramer, our specials teachers about how to connect with them during conferences.
Conferences with Mr. Kramer and Mr. Clark
If I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting you yet, my name is Mr. Clark. I am the new music/band teacher here at Ladd Acres. The welcome I’ve received from the students, staff, and community has been nothing short of incredible. I’ve very much appreciated the warm welcome.
Ladd is having a wonderful start to the school year in music class. We are currently reviewing standards that may have been missed due to virtual learning through a variety of ways. Our standards that we’re currently focused on through each grade level are rhythm, ostinatos, form, melody, and proper playing/singing techniques. After December, we will be branching out to different instrument units. This will incorporate recorders, pBuzz instruments, Orff instruments, and hopefully guitar and piano units.
It’s been such a tremendous joy to be making music with students again in person. If you have any questions or concerns about your child's music education or my class in general, please feel free to email me at email@example.com. Also, I am available for conferences on November 22 from 3:00-5:00 as well as November 23 during regular work hours if you’re interested in hearing more about how music is going for your child. To schedule an appointment, send me an email with a time that works for you within those hours and I will respond with the meet link!
