Raider Update
A Weekly eNewsletter from Hastings Public Schools
Message from the Superintendent
Good afternoon Raider families,
In the wake of the tragedy in Uvalde, I want to again let you know that we take our student safety very seriously. We are already having discussions based on information being released, and we are so fortunate to have a close relationship with our law enforcement agencies. As I shared early, everyone responds to these events differently, and it would not be uncommon for some students to have a delayed response or have something trigger a reaction in the coming days or weeks. Please reach out if you need assistance.
We had another incredible show of community support at the Senior Awards Night last Monday. Over $195,000 was given to 111 students. Thank you, Hastings!
Finally, we will continue with our summer food program. However, while we will be able to offer meals to students throughout the summer, federal changes to the program require that students eat the meals onsite. If you have any questions, please reach out to your student's school building.

Hastings High School Awards Night
Last Monday, we had another successful Awards Night program!
A total of $195,000.00 in scholarships were handed out to 111 well-deserving senior students.
Students in grades 9th - 12th were also recognized for their outstanding achievement academically through each department.
HCTV was there to capture it all. You can view the entire program here:
Hastings Family Engagement Survey
Your voice and experience matter. Please take a few moments to complete this district-wide family survey. All responses are anonymous, and you are allowed to take it only one time. Your feedback will help us celebrate what is going well and determine how we can do better to create the best school community for all of our families.
