Message from Administration
Our first quarter has wrapped up and what a success it was! We've loved having our LTE Gators back on campus engaged in meaningful learning. Our teachers have worked hard to establish classroom routines and procedures to start the year and the result has been positive, safe learning environments for our students.
Soon our Quarter 1 Reports Cards will be posted in Focus for your viewing. For the first quarter, we will also send home print copies. Your child's teacher is working to prepare your child to lead their own conference where your child will share with your their learning goals for the year and the progress they are making. Look for information to come home about this soon.
This fall we look forward to bringing back some of our annual events that have long been a part of LTE. We hope you join us Friday, October 22nd from 4-6 for our Fall Festival. Tickets are on sale now before school just outside the front office. We also have an LTE Hockey Night with the Florida Everblades planned for October 30th! More details on these special events can be found below in this newsletter.

Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week takes place the last week of October every year. The mission of RRW is to help keep kids drug free. The theme this year is "Drug Free Looks Like Me!". We hope you join in the celebration. Lake Trafford will have a daily challenge during the week!

Connect for Success: Mission Statements
Many classes have written their own "Class Mission Statement" like the one pictured here from Ms. Ascher's 1st Grade Class. Many students have now moved on to writing their own personal mission statements. Ask your child about their Connect for Success mission statements. Maybe your family wants to write one?!
