NED Show Visited MES
In December, Midway's School Counselors brought in the NED Show. NED stands for Never Give Up, Encourage Others, and Do Your Best. Our presenter had a wonderful program showing our students about the power of "Yet." With her amazing yo-yo tricks, our presenter showed Midway how to develop and use a growth mindset to solve problems. We also had a successful yo-yo sale afterwards where students could practice and use their newly learned knowledge in special areas of the playgrounds. A fun and learning experience was had by all.
School Workers Celebrate
We have several 5th graders that work as Safety Patrols, School Store Managers, and Flag Helpers. Before the Winter Break we got together to celebrate all of their hard work each morning.
Pajama Day is Friday, January 10th
Student Council recently voted on a way to celebrate our school receiving the Palmetto Silver Award. Therefore, we will have a Pajama Day on Friday, January 10th. Wear your favorite school - appropriate pajamas.
