STEM Lab Families,
As we approach the final month of a school year that is one for the records, I want to take the time to express my gratitude to our families, teachers and students. We are in the final weeks of the school year that could not have been possible without the support, encouragement and commitment of our community.
Parents, we could not have done it without your patience and grace. We understand the amount of strain and stress this year has placed on your shoulders and your child’s success and safety would not have been possible without your commitment.
Teachers and STEM Lab support staff, without you this year would not have possible, your professionalism and unwavering dedication to our students and drive to provide the very best education and learning environment for our students has ensured this was not a “lost year” and students were able to grow both academically and socially.
Students, you have shown us that you are extremely resilient, strong, confident, brave and independent. The entire STEM Lab staff is so proud of our students and their ability to be problem solvers and overcome challenges.
We all are all looking forward and hopeful that next school year brings us some more normalcy. Please continue to watch for communications from both the district and STEM Lab as we enter August.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful and safe summer that is filled with much peace and joy.

Familias STEM,

Student Leadership would like to thank you again for your support with our 1st Read-a-Thon! We are so excited about the amount of time students spent reading and the funds that were raised to support the purchase of books that are inclusive and culturally responsive (BAME: Black, Asian, Minority, Ethnic). The 5th graders had 17 groups working on solutions through their PBL. They approached Student Leadership to support them financially with $500. With your help, Student Leadership is giving them $1500 instead to fund the needs in our library! Thank you, thank you, thank you very much!
In addition, since our school has a PBL focus the Student Leaders have decided to also fund $500 for each K-5 and the Specials Team. These funds will help promote ideas, build prototypes, etc. for next year's PBL's. We are hoping this brings the solutions to fruition. Plus, the leaders decided to fund 6th-8th grade $1,000 per level!!!
We are so proud of all of the efforts and we are hoping to continually support our students and staff with these funds in the following years through our Read-a-Thon!
