Monday, February 27th is the 100th Day of School!
The 100th day of school at IAT is Monday, February 27th! The 100th day is the perfect time to have fun with the number 100 while exploring counting, sorting, patterning, measuring.
Below are some websites that have some ideas for activities for the 100th day.

Will you be IAT's Biggest Loser?
Will you be IAT's Biggest Loser?
What better way to promote collaboration and cooperation then by working on ways to improve our health together?
Here are the basics of the program:
1. Please let Jillian O'Connor know if you are interested in the program. Either send her an email or stop by Room 120 and she can sign you up!
2. Weigh In will be Friday mornings. (Interested members will cast a vote on whether or not we should weigh in before breakfast in my classroom on Friday mornings or if we should adopt the "Honor System").
3. $1 a week, and the person with the highest percentage of weight loss will win the pool on the last Friday of our school year.
4. Since we are (finally) blessed with a large campus, members of the "Exercise Club" will be able to walk/run outside as a group or at your own pace. Times would be Monday - Thursday beginning at 3:55. We will also have the option to hold our exercise meetings indoors in one of the classrooms. If you would be willing to bring in your favorite exercise DVD, let Jillian know.
5. All money will be tracked, locked, and kept in a super secret location.
6. EVERYONE is welcome with open arms. This is a happy, judge-free zone. Just a bunch of educators trying to improve our own hearts, bodies, and minds.
7. EVERYTHING IS CONFIDENTIAL. Numbers, weights, and percentages will not be shared with anyone with the exception of Michelle Paster and Jillian.
8. Since most of us are rocking Fitbits these days, we would love to add a "steps" component to this program, considering most of us are quite competitive in nature when it comes to our steps. Moving right along, details have not been completed as of now, but we're thinking that whoever has the most steps by the end of the month will win some sort of reward.
9. You can join all three "clubs": "Biggest Loser", "Exercise," or "Steps", or whichever one holds the most interest to you.
10. LET'S HAVE FUN!!
Based on staff interest, we would love to be able to get this started on Monday (2/27)! (All diets begin on Mondays, of course). If we find that interest is high, we will send out another update with more details.
We hope that these ideas will be beneficial to you. Life tends to fall in place when we focus on what matters: OURSELVES!
This Week's Birthdays
May your day be blessed and may you have a wonderful year ahead!
