God's Call
During the month of November, we continue to pray that we will become saints, that we will follow God's call to holiness. During this coming week, which is National Vocations Awareness Week, we especially focus on praying for vocations to the priesthood and religious life, that more men and women in our world will open their hearts to discern if God is calling them, in a particular way, to live their call to holiness by serving the Church as priests, nuns, religious brothers, or permanent deacons.
We should also pray for those who are currently in the seminary, studying and preparing for ordination as priests, and for those who have entered a convent or monastery and are preparing for religious life. At St. Ignatius of Antioch, we are especially blessed to know two seminarians, Luke Trombetta and Sandun Tharuka, who are currently assigned to St. Ignatius of Antioch parish and who visit our elementary school classes on Thursdays. Luke and Sandun are both studying at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood. Some of you may also remember Anthony Albanese, Juan Builes, and Jacob Sanz, who were previously assigned to St. Ignatius as part of their seminary formation. And I hope some of you know Griffen Schlaepfer, a St. Ignatius parishioner, who is also a seminarian. All of these men are studying at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. Let us pray for them and for all those who are discerning their vocations. Let us pray also for Fr. James Chia, a priest of the Order of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy, who was also a St. Ignatius of Antioch parishioner, and Fr. Andrew Lane, who was assigned to St. Ignatius as well and who is now a priest for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Of course, we cannot forget about all the bishops, priests, sisters, permanent deacons, and religious brothers that we know, the ones at our parishes, the ones who taught us, the ones who inspired us. They need our prayers too, as they continue to live their vocations. Please pray especially for Fr. Brownholtz, Fr. Kennedy, Deacon Mike, and Deacon Bob here at St. Ignatius of Antioch, and pray for Archbishop Nelson Perez, who leads the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and for the other bishops here in this archdiocese, and pray for Pope Francis. We know they are praying for us, and we know that they appreciate our prayers. Pray for vocations!

YAY Lunch
If you have any problems or concerns with YAY Lunch, please let us know and let YAY lunch know as well.
Important Drop Off and Pick Up Reminders
If you need to pick up your son or daughter prior to regular dismissal time, please be sure to pick up no later than 2:15 pm, in order to keep all of our dismissals flowing smoothly.
Car drop off begins at 8 am. If you do not see a school staff member in the drop off area, please do not drop off your child or children and leave them outside the doors under the blue canopy; please wait until a staff member comes out and opens the doors.
For car drop off, please stay in the drop off line and do not drive around the car in front of you. Wait until the car in front of you pulls forward before you pull forward.
For car drop off, please do your best to make sure your child is ready to exit the car when you pull up and stop. Especially if you are the first car in line, please drive away once your child is out of the car and your car door is closed. This will help with the flow of traffic in the car drop off line.
For car pick up, please wait until the school staff member gives the signal for your line of cars to pull out and drive out of the parking lot before starting to drive away.
For Pre-K drop off and pick up, please follow the procedures, leaving the lanes with cones at the ends empty for parents to drive out once they have walked their Pre-K students to the Pre-K building. Please take extra care as you are driving, parking, and leaving after Pre-K drop off and pick up.
If you have someone dropping off or picking up your child that has not dropped off or picked up at St. Ignatius before, please inform them of the procedures so that there will be no issues.
