Chaparral's Good News!
Second Semester 2020-2021
Weekend Highlights
Our school recently emailed a "Human Growth and Development" notice to the parents of our students. Please carefully review the email prior to the May 7th deadline posted in the letter. Also, we are asking parents of in-person learners to review the following points:
*NO JAYWALKING due to safety reasons
* Student ID cards need to be ready in their hand when entering campus
* Students’ cellphones are to be put away, to avoid distractions on campus
*Students should bring their water bottle(s) with them to school
* Dress code - NO HOODIES worn over their head, for visibility reasons
Notice, Chaparral's traffic flow runs along IRON BARK DRIVE with our morning entry beginning at 7:50 AM and our afternoon entry opening at 12:30 PM. We ask students and parents to remain in their vehicles to avoid overcrowding while outdoors. If you haven't already, parents should watch our counselors' video with complete guidelines for the Spring Reopening.
Lastly, Chaparral is currently almost in 1st place and we need our parents and students to support the school by joining our staff in a virtual FUN RUN & WALK. Please consider registering at wvusd50.org before May 2nd! (Click on the link or image below for more information.)
Weekly Schedule: Student Reminders
Our school is thrilled to welcome more students onto campus next week! Students who will be "in-person" learning will need to (1) bring their STUDENT ID card with them, and (2) be sure their parent completes the Aeries Health Screening each day, prior to arriving at the school. Remember to check out our ASB's weekly activity for "International Haiku Poetry Day" and post onto the padlet found on your counselor's Google Classroom for a chance at earning a "Spirit Pack" in April!
