Home Learning Update
We are down to the final days of home learning for the 2019-2020 school year. The last day of the school year for students will be Friday, May 15th. Teachers will be completing grades the following week.
Chromebook Drop Off
Cascade High School students/parents are asked to drop off their chromebooks on Tuesday, May 19th from Noon-6:00 p.m. Drop off will take place behind the school outside of the Cascade Middle School cafeteria. Students/parents will stay in their vehicles and simply drop off the chromebook, case, and charger at the designated drop-off area. Parents with children in multiple buildings can pick any of the school designated drop-off dates to bring back all chromebooks. If a student/parent has any personal items to pick up from the high school that day, they should drive to Door #1 in front of the high school to pick up those items.
Senior Yard Signs
Thank you to our Assistant Superintendent, Stacey Monnett and the PTO's from all of our schools in helping to create yard signs for our high school seniors. We are in the process of delivering these signs to the homes of our seniors to let them know that we are thinking about them during this unusual and unprecedented time.
Graduation
We are planning to have an in-person graduation ceremony for our seniors this summer with a date and location still to be determined. We are still finalizing details and will get information out about finalized graduation plans as soon as possible. Our seniors have picked up their graduation caps and gowns. We are excited to celebrate graduation with our seniors and their families this summer!
Construction/Renovation at Cascade High School
An extensive project is underway at Cascade High School to make improvements to the building. Improvements are being made to piping, lighting, the Performing Arts Center, heating and air units in some rooms and new carpet and paint in some rooms. The building will largely be inaccessible for a large part of the summer as these renovations are taking place.
End-Of-Year Parade
The Mill Creek Community School Corporation staff will be having a parade through the school district on Friday, May 15th. Details are still being finalized, but expected times for the parade to pass through the towns are between 11:00 a.m and 12:30 p.m. The teachers and staff of the schools wish to celebrate the end of the school year and show their appreciation for our students during this parade.
