Mrs Roach

Sadly, after 2 years service to our school, Mrs Roach has resigned her position as MSA with effect from the end of term. We would all like to thank her for the wonderful job that she has done and wish her well for the future. We are aiming to recruit a new mid-day supervisor for September, and application forms are available from the office or visiting our website here.

Safeguarding procedures

Next Wednesday we will have 2 visitors in school. They are conducting an audit of safeguarding procedures on behalf of the MAT, and will observe various aspects of our work throughout the day.

Big Blue Day

Thank you for supporting our Big Blue day. Children have made a brilliant effort and the Eco Warriors hope that has helped to raise awareness of environmental issues that are affecting marine life. Thank you for your donations, we have made a contribution to the marine conservation society.

FOSS Sponsored Cycle

Thanks for supporting the FOSS sponsored cycle event. We made it as far as Woburn, near Milton Keynes which is fabulous! If your child has received sponsors, we are now collecting the money. This can either be donated through Parent Pay or brought directly into school. We would like all money to be collected by 19th July please.

School Transition Morning

Next Tuesday is our school transition morning, when children have the chance to work in their next class, and meet their new teacher if this is changing. They should come into school as normal so that the register can be taken in their normal class. They will then move internally to their new class for the rest of the morning. For Coronavirus management purposes, we will form new ‘bubbles’ for that morning.

School Reports

We are aiming to send reports home as usual at the end of this term. To allow teachers to have the most up-to-date information about children and reflect upon their current learning, these will come home a little later than in previous years. We hope to send them around 16th July which will give you some time to respond before the end of term should you wish to do so.

STOP Campaign

You may have seen recent media publicity about concerning levels of sexual harassment in schools. This falls within the remit of our ‘STOP’ campaign, and if any children experience behaviour that makes them feel uncomfortable it is important that they remember to Start Telling Other People.

Maple's Monday Mocktail Madness

Don't forget Maple will be selling Mocktails in the playground after school every Monday until the end of term. All the profits go towards the Year 5/6 end of term treat. All the mocktails will be £1, so please bring the exact change if possible.

School Lunches

Next week we will be on Week 3 of the lunch menu below.

Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.

Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.

Each day there are 3 choices, either the hot dinner, the sandwich or the jacket potato with a choice of topping. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.
