Sherburn and Villages Community Library
Sherburn and Villages Community Library are thrilled to announce that the Summer Reading Challenge for Primary School children is back! We're teaming up with the World Wildlife Fund for a very special nature-themed Challenge that will inspire you to stand up for the planet!
We will be launching 'Wild World Heroes' on Saturday, July 10th. Come to the library and sign up to find out what it's all about. The Challenge will be running throughout the summer holidays and you can join in any time so don't worry if you can't make it on the launch day. As usual there will be lots of fun rewards, puzzles and information to help you complete the challenge.
Here's just a little taster of what's in store for you...
'Pack your bags because we're heading for Wilderville! It's a pretty cool place, but there's lots of things that the Wild World Heroes can do to make their town even better for the people and animals that live there...'
School Lunches
Next week we will be on Week 3 of the lunch menu below.
Children can decide daily whether they are having a school dinner or packed lunch.
Please ensure you discuss the menu each day with your child so they can decide what they would like to order. Once they know their choices, they will choose this each morning with their teacher during registration.
Each day there are 3 choices, either the hot dinner, the sandwich or the jacket potato with a choice of topping. The sandwich and jacket potato always come with a selection of vegetables/salad on the side and have the full pudding choice for that day.
