Daily Schedule

Just a friendly reminder that school starts at 7:50 a.m. Students are marked tardy after 7:50 a.m. and counted as partially absent after 8:05 a.m. Please do not drop your children off before 7:30 a.m.

Dismissal is on the back pavilion at 3:05 p.m. On inclement weather days, we will dismiss from inside the building. Please be on time to pick your children up from school. Menger does host the Latchkey Program for parents who are unable to pick up at 3:05 p.m. For more information, contact the City Parks and Recreation Department.

Second Grade Field Trip

Our second grade students visited the Art Museum of South Texas.

Third Grade Field Trip

Students in third grade visited the Texas State Aquarium.

Spelling Bee

Join us on Wednesday, January 15th at 8:30 a.m. in the cafeteria for our Annual Menger Elementary Spelling Bee. Students in grades 3-5 will attend and class winners will compete on stage for a chance to move on the Regional Spelling Bee.

Schools will be closed on Monday, January 20th, in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Students at Menger will attend a MLK, Jr. Assembly in the cafeteria on Friday, Jan. 17th at 2 p.m..

Gifted and Talented Testing

The spring online application is ready for parents who wish to have their child tested for the Gifted and Talented Program in CCISD. CCISD students in grades 1-12 will be tested during the testing window.

The deadline to apply is Friday, January 17th.
