Parent Newsletter - Issue #304 - January 24, 2021
THS instruction will remain Online for the week of January 25-29
The duration of this pivot is contingent upon campus staffing and several other internal and external environmental factors that are being monitored daily. Travis High School students will return to their previously selected Term 3 learning model of face-to-face or online learning once we are able to do so. A status update will be provided at the end of next week.

Tiger Academics
Bell Schedules for the week of January 25-29
All students and staff will continue to operate on the current bell schedule assigned in Term 3. T3 online students will continue with the virtual bell schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. During the shift to online learning, T3 face-to-face students will log in to Microsoft Teams from home and follow their current schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Teachers will send T3 face-to-face students Microsoft Teams invites before classes begin on Monday morning.
Student Programming Information
Since this pivot's continuation is still due to the need to ensure business continuity instead of COVID-19 mitigation, UIL and some student academic programs may continue face-to-face operations. As a reminder, it is essential for all students currently in isolation or quarantine to remain home and not report for any in-person learning or activities. Agriculture students and members of Future Farmers of America (FFA) will be allowed to continue in-person learning and work at the agriculture center. However, Reese Center students may not attend the James Reese Career and Technical Center for face-to-face learning due to the Reese Center also pivoting to online learning next week. Please refer to communications sent by the District and Reese Center administration for more details.
PSAT Information
At this time, Tenth-grade students scheduled to take the PSAT on Tuesday, January 26, will proceed as planned, and the District will coordinate with campus administration to ensure that testing is proctored and monitored. Students registered to take the PSAT who usually receive district transportation will have access to transportation the day of the test. Breakfast and lunch meal service will be provided to students participating in PSAT testing. Parents of students scheduled to take the PSAT can expect to receive additional communication by Monday afternoon with details about the day of the test.
