Dear Marysville Families
Happy Friday! What a beautiful sunny day. All of this warm weather has left behind many jackets, sweaters and water bottles. The Marysville lost and found is overflowing. Please stop by the hanging racks and bins to look for any missing student items. Racks are located in the front hall next to the cafeteria.
As the weather continues to warm up, please consider sending your child to school with a reusable water bottle. Label the bottle with your child's name.
One more reminder, as a school wide safety precaution, all medication (even seasonal allergy medications) need to be kept in the school nurse's office. Medications should be brought to the front office in the original container so that dosage and pill type can be confirmed by the School Health Assistant. Thank you for your help with this.
I want to recognize our own Toby Golihar, a wonderful Marysville Paraeducator. He was honored this week during the first ever Portland School District Torch Award Ceremony. Over 250 district personnel were nominated and Toby was one of the 30 selected. We are so proud and grateful for the inspirational work that Toby does at Marysville. He truly embodies PPS's Educators Essentials and core values.
Thank you to everyone for support of the book fair last week. It was a large success and I hope everyone is enjoying some reading adventures. You can still purchase items from the book fair! The orders will be delivered to the school in early June.
This sale is organized by Family Association. We hope to have a flyer sent home with students tomorrow.
