Holiday Gift Drive

Are you looking for a way to help a child in need during this holiday season? We could use your assistance! We are hosting a holiday drive to collect items for families in need in our school community. If you are interested in donating an item please sign up on this online form (http://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0c45adae2ca6fb6-whittier), purchase the item(s), and send to school by December 13th. Host Families Needed!

We can't wait to welcome our visitors from China just after we return from Winter Break!!! We are looking for host families for the teachers. If you are interested in hosting one of the teachers, please contact Teresa Curley at tcurley@kuds.edu.

PTA Reflections

This is a reminder that any Reflections projects should be brought to school by the December 1st deadline. If your child is working on a project or considering doing so, you may find the Official Rules for entering Reflections in the Whittier Backpack notes. Please complete a Student Entry Form and send along with the project to school.

Reflections is a great activity to do over Thanksgiving break where there will be opportunities for picture taking, arts, and crafts with family and friends. Record that dance routine, film a movie, or write your story. This year’s Reflections theme is “Within Reach” which has so much possibility! We are looking forward to seeing more of the creative work from our Whittier students!

If you have any questions about Reflections, please contact Lisa Taffe, Reflections Chairperson, at reflections@whittierpta.org.
