What Are We Learning This Week??

For the next few weeks we will be discussing insects and spring animals. We have a few caterpillar/chrysalis in our room now and we will be observing them until they become butterflies and will be released. We had one butterfly on Friday so the rest should come this week!!

This week we will continue to discuss the life cycle of a butterfly. We will read a couple more Eric Carle books such as The Grouchy Ladybug and The Lonely Firefly. These books give us a chance to discuss what makes us grouchy or what to do when we are lonely. If we have time we also will make Old Lady puppets and props to go with the story of The Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly.

We are reviewing the number 11 and all of the letters and sounds.

Speech-Language Group- April 27-May 1, 2015

This week, we will follow directions identifying the letters/sounds f, e, h, t and then hop in and out of a square on one foot. We will find the object within a group of objects that does not belong with the others, and tell why it doesn't belong. We will review the words and sequence of actions to the "Friends Song".

Other Information.....

Hello Parents! We are fast approaching the end of our preschool year…it has been such a pleasure to educate and care for your children! The end of the school year means warmer weather. Warmer weather means lining up outside at the start of our preschool day. Please be sure to remind your child of parking lot safety, as our lot is exceptionally busy during pick up/drop off times. We expect children to use walking feet and to be escorted by an adult to/from their line outside. This is also a good time to remind everyone of the importance of following Nebraska laws for child restraint in vehicles. Be sure your child is properly buckled in a car seat that is appropriate for their height/weight, and make sure they ride in the back seat! Thank you for helping us maintain a safe environment at the Early Childhood Center! Enjoy these last few weeks of preschool! Kristy Feden, Early Childhood Supervisor

Tuition: Just a reminder our final tuition payment will occur on May 15th. The last payment is half of your regular tuition amount, so please note there will only be a partial payment. As always, please call me if you have questions! Kristy Feden 402-514-3242. Thanks!

As we are approaching the change of season, if you are looking for a place to donate your outgrown clothes we can always use extra pants and shirts.
