Season of Service
2014
Only Three Weeks Left!
There are only three weeks left in Season of Service 2014 and we want to make sure that your stories of Kingdom work through service are being shared! If you have any stories of the work you have been doing this season and we don't yet know about it, please send it our way by emailing megan@servesacramento.com. We would love to share your story with the Serve Sacramento community! If you would like to share your pictures, you can upload them to our website here or post a picture or video to your instagram, facebook, or twitter and tag us @servesacramento or #servesacramento. Don't forget, there may be a Jamba Juice gift card waiting for you if you do! We are so honored to display the gospel to the Sacramento region by sharing these amazing stories!
Stories of Service: Reimagine Mack Road
Along with these projects there were also 11 houses that were renovated as the host families worked alongside volunteers to fix kitchen appliances, air conditioning, and other general maintenance. The Pointe Church was one of the churches involved in renovating a house by gardening and building a fence along with several other projects. Bayside of South Sacramento was also involved in this service day as they are very invested in the Mack Road community and regularly pray for and outreach to this community. Serve Sacramento was proud to be a part of this huge effort through these and other congregations working alongside community partners.
May 17th & 18th: All Church Serve Day
On May 17 & 18, local churches in our area will be joining Bayside Church for the largest community service day in our area with 150 projects! There’s a project for everyone! We wants to mobilize 12,000 volunteers to serve in projects in and around our community, connect members of our churches to ministries and community organizations while establishing new or deepening current relationships within our churches, all of this while sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with our words and our actions. To see current service projects and to sign up, visit the Serve Day website here!
