REVISION: Coaching & Feedback
We will be suspending the Weekly A, B, C schedule for the last 2 Spot weeks of the Fall Semester. Appraisers will be conducting Spots based on need: ensure needed coaching to support teacher growth and adhere to District policy for observation and feedback cycle.
Throughout the next 2 weeks expect informal visits from Administration and Instructional coaches with real time feedback to promote tighter feedback implementation and positive impact on teaching and learning.

ARSA Important Information
Please remember that the survey comes directly to you via Hanover Research, independent education research firm. We have until December 12th to complete the survey. The survey is completely anonymous and any only identifier is that you are correctly linked to ARSA.
Please take the time and provide feedback. The Climate Survey is data that is collected twice a year by the district and is taken very seriously by the campus and the district. The survey data gives you an idea of what your colleagues think of ARSA and what we are doing and achieving. The data informs us of our perceived strengths and weaknesses in the areas of:
- alignment of vision, mission,
- instructional leadership,
- professional development,
- morale, discipline, facilities, safety
- effectiveness of professional learning communities and teacher practices
- principal/leadership and support/relationship with teachers/staff
Climate is the heart of your school and we want to take a moment to highlight all the great things we are about at ARSA and where we need to spend some time improving. It is an internal and external document and this is one way we share what we value at ARSA!!
Our goal is 100% participation.
As a Thank You for participating
Please send/ or hard copy of your completion confirmation to Ms. Garcia and pick up your

Essentials of Intentional Monitoring
Trust this process and continue to develop your skill, which at times can be frustrating. When we step out of our comfort zone it is uncomfortable, but the payoff is worth it. ARSA we are seeing the payoff everyday!!
We are all learning and that is what is powerful!! When we are all in the place of learning, we can share our wins along the way and get support as we try to improve.
We are starting our work with tracking the data, especially in the area of the Independent practice. Please ask as you start to use this tracker more and more, if you have any questions or just need more support with execution.

Spotlight on Mrs. Quintana
I would like to spotlight Ms. Quintana. She and I have been collaborating on research for her students about landforms and boundaries. Her students came in today and learned the best online resources to use to locate the information they needed and how authoritative sources work better for research than just going to Google. Students also had to cite their source. Students will work on creating a flipgrid video to present the information they discovered. It was fun seeing students engaged in research!
Spotlight on ARSA Saturday SLAM Team!

Spotlight on Mrs. O'Connel
Kudos to Mrs. O'Connell for her unrelenting support of our ARSA thespians! She is determined to build our theater program and her scholars know she cares and wants the best for them. She had a phenomenal turn out Saturday for UIL competition practice. Theater scholars were here putting in the work on stage and behind the scenes.
In the face of challenges and bumps along the way, thank you for seeing the silver lining and potential in our young people.
Spotlight on Mrs. Ortega
I would like to spotlight Ms. Ortega for hanging up my birthday surprise the Friday before Thanksgiving. It really brightened my day.
Spotlight on Ms. Dora Ayala
I've watched as Ms. Ayala goes about her work to help keep Ann Richards STEAM Academy ship shape. She does big things and little things-- including even emptying pencil sharpeners. On so many late evenings, it has been Ms. Ayala's laugh or smile or ear-- as she passes through doing her work-- that have been just the pick-me-up I need to complete my own work. Thank you, Ms. Ayala!
Spotlight on Mrs. Quintana`
Huge shout out to Ms. Quintana! She spent part of her Thanksgiving break making sure the Debate team is reppin’ some ARSA pride! We will be sure to “Argue” in style! You rock Ms. Q.!
Spotlight on Ms. Nix
It is a pleasure, an honor and a blessing to work with this incredible person. She is efficient, supportive, and a talented juggler of All The Things. She fosters a sense of trust and professionalism in her exchanges with staff, so I always feel comfortable going to her with a question or concern. When she delivers news of initiative roll-outs, she receives feedback with grace and understanding and provides us the encouragement and resources we need to achieve the goal. I am very grateful to be guided by her leadership and look forward to another solid semester working alongside her.
Spotilight on Ms. Walaski and Ms. Jolifee
Hats off to Ms. Joliffee and Ms. Walaski for throwing ARSA's name in the hat to host the Dallas ISD Robotic Competition. It was a major success and thank you both for coordinating the event with our ARSA staff and district staff. It was so exciting seeing so many scholars excited about robotics and all of the 4C's that go into working as a team!
The adults were excited and so supportive of their teams and our ARSA Staff did a phenomenal job working the event itself.
Great job to both of you and thank you for your leadership and passion!
Spotlight on Robotics Support Team
The team worked together seamlessly, providing clarity of process, helping with event logistics, and encouraging the DISD teams as they moved through the process.
