Science Fair Information

The First Annual Brookwood Science Fair is Thursday, January 17, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m..

Science Fair projects will need to be dropped off no later than 4:45 p.m.. You will be provided a number. Please go to the cafeteria and find that number on a table. That is where the display should be set up. Nothing besides the tri-fold board may be present. (Research paper and notebook only may be placed in front of the tri-fold, if you have them.)

Parents may not be present while judging is taking place. Students can expect an interview with a judge. This will account for 25% of the overall score.

1st and 2nd place ribbons will be awarded for each grade level. If students from different grade levels worked together, the project will be evaluated at the higher grade level. Brookwood may send only the two highest scoring projects overall on to the county/regional science fair in February.

Parents, we will have a space available for you to wait. We will announce when judging is complete, and you may join your student and view projects at that time.

We are very excited to hold our first science fair. Every student participant will have many reasons to be proud. Thank you for your support and encouragement of your student!

Super Kids-Super Sharing

Brookwood is taking part in a Super Bowl project to help local children in need. It’s called Super Kids-Super Sharing. You can help by donating gently used or new items including:

Books

Sports Equipment

School Supplies

Games

We have teamed up with the National Football League, the Atlanta Super Bowl Host Committee, Verizon and Infinite Energy Center’s Forum for Super Kids-Super Sharing. Catch the Super Bowl Spirit and help others in our local community.

As we start the New Year, it’s a great time to donate those things which are awesome but not currently being used in your home. Maybe Aunt Suzy and Grandma both gave the same books this year. Please donate items that are new or gently used.

Our collection will be now through January 16.

Join us for this informative session and learn how you can help your child manage and conquer stress and anxiety. Bring your lunch and we will provide dessert and a drink. Sign-up to attend at https://tinyurl.com/LLParentMeeting. For questions please contact Venecia Foster, School Social Worker at (678) 965-5050, ext. 411249.
