The Soup Kitchen

Soup Kitchen
The Soup Kitchen was a good time for people that couldn't afford food or couldn't go out and get the food. The Soup Kitchen started in the 1929. The Soup Kitchen provided soup and bread for starving people. Many people from churches and community groups volunteered to help these people. The people that weren't wealthy appreciated everything that the volunteers did for them. The reason many people didn't have food was because of the Great Depression. The depression was a very hard time for many citizens because they went without jobs and if you don't have a job, you can't pay for goods.
