2018 Cities Summer Fellowship (paid) - CDP
The fellow will be integral to ensuring cities disclose their environmental data. They will be responsible for continuing existing relationships with city staff, and should be comfortable discussing a variety of sustainability topics including greenhouse gas accounting, emissions targets, and the value of using data to improve environmental performance and build resilience.
The fellow will also be asked to support a variety of operational tasks, including database management, writing procedures and internal guidance, and email tracking.

Communications Summer Intern (paid) - The Business Initiative for Health Policy
Responsibilities:
- Help to manage and build our social media reach, which is in the early days of building an audience, by identifying opportunities, collecting articles and materials to broadcast, and creating original content including graphics
- Write press releases, and assist members in the writing of op-eds, speeches, and blog posts.
- Support the creation of training materials for Congressional candidates.
Position pays $15/hr and is in Washington, DC.

Policy and Research Summer Intern (paid) - The Alliance to Save Energy
The position is in Washington, DC, and pays $13.25/hour with sick leave. It is 40hrs/week.

Operations Summer Intern (paid) - Artists for Peace and Justice
Responsibilities
- Monitor office phones, deliveries, and email
- Assist with social media outreach and monitoring
- Conduct ongoing research projects
- Compile data and maintain various organizational databases
- Work with APJ staff in a support capacity to address other needs and projects as they arise

Social Media Summer Intern (unpaid) - Envision
Responsibilities:
- Interact with program attendees/on-site staff and attend program events to capture the excitement of the conference and create social media content – photos, videos and quotes – to share that excitement
- Distribute content through live tweeting, Facebook Live and social posts on company social media channels
- Curate and Upload photos to designated Facebook photo albums

Pathways Passport Trainee Internship - The Bureau of Consular Affairs (Minneapolis and Boston)
- Perform recurring assignments such as examining applications and supporting documents for acceptability as proof of citizenship and identity; and for official and diplomatic passports, as appropriate authorization, entitlement, and information.
- Evaluate evidence for sufficiency, credibility, authenticity, and consistency of facts. Questions applicants and available witnesses to verify applicant statements and corroborating information.
- Apply knowledge of the procedures and processes employed by headquarters and passport offices in the issuance of passports; interprets and explains the requirements for obtaining a passport; and advises on the sources and types of documentation needed to establish proof of citizenship, residence, and identity.

Public Policy Specialist - Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive, in-depth and time-sensitive research and package findings.
- Keep abreast of pending legislation, industry trends and current events that impact clients and perspective clients.
- Maintain a working knowledge of the legislative process and Capitol Hill and have the ability to maintain key relationships as needed.
- Attend and summarize congressional hearings.
- Coordinate and/or attend meetings for and with members of the PLP team (and other practices) our clients, and with members of congress and/or their staff.
- Monitor and report on client-relevant media.
- Draft client facing talking points, articles, briefings, client alerts, letters and other memoranda.
- Assist with client development, including conducting research and working with business development on presentations and proposals.
- Proofread and review the work of others.
