Principal's Weekly Update

COVID Updates
Good afternoon,
The entire State is now in high (orange), exposed close contacts who are not fully vaccinated will be excluded for 14 days. Also a test is no longer allowed for close contacts to be able to return to school earlier.
Fully vaccinated persons who have close contact with someone with COVID-19 do NOT need to be excluded from school if they are asymptomatic but should be referred for testing 3-5 days after exposure.
Pages 11-12 goes over this in the school guidance. I linked it here so that you can share with parents if they would like.
Social Media
Just so you are aware there have been several Instagram accounts being made by a few of our students. Some of the pictures being posted are inappropriate or may even fall under the bullying umbrella. As we come across posts that are done in school or disrupt student's rights in school and are able to identify who is taking them we have address the issue.
Unfortunately with every student having a smart phone and so many students we are not able to catch all of the issues with out help. Please speak to your child about these accounts as some of the post we have handled have been embarrassing for the families of the student who posted them and hurtful to other students. Any information given to us will be kept confidential.
Anonymous tips maybe given through the confidential tip line either on our homepage on the bottom right hand side or through our CRHS App in the different online stores. We have already had several reports come to us through these means.
I appreciate your help in this matter.

Senior IDs
Lifetouch will be here on Tuesday beginning at 7:30am to take senior pictures for their IDs. You will get your ID right away. I will send passes out Tuesday morning.
Late arrival students will pick up their pass at the front desk.
Seniors who are out will have it take when they return.
PSAT Results to Students
CRHS 9-11 graders took the PSAT on October 13. Score reports are in and counselors will be meeting with your child to review the score reports throughout the month of December. Along with the score report, counselors will hand out PSAT test booklets, give a brief explanation of the test and explain how to interpret the score report. The PSAT is a great resource for preparing for the SAT. All students will also have digital access to their score report via the CollegeBoard. We encourage you to review the scores with your child.
Cafeteria Update
Once everything is in place I will send more information on procedures for placing money on student accounts.
Also please be aware SODEXO is experiencing shortages with their suppliers. As other areas of our economy food vendors are having a hard time getting certain foods in stock.
