Welcome to our first edition of the GO Project Gazette.
Season’s Greetings to all of you from the Austin ISD’s GO Projects!
We will be sending a monthly newsletter sharing all the grand learning opportunities and accomplishments of the GO Project Students. As we celebrate this season of giving we would like to applaud our GO Project students at all 6 sites for their service in giving back to the community this season!
St. Edward’s University GO Project
helping with the Thanksgiving food drive at the Capital Area Food Bank. The Food Bank has been serving the Austin community for over 30 years at it’s South Congress location and multiple community food pantries.
St. John’s Community Center GO Project
wraps presents for the Brown Santa Program. This is their 8th year to serve the community in this way. Started in 1981 the Brown Santa program is a community service of the Travis County Sheriff’s Office and its sponsors. The program provides assistance to underprivileged children and their families.
South Austin Recreation Center GO Project
The Go Project students lead the first graders in recycling projects and gardening projects at Dawson Elementary
