Message from the Principal
Hello Spartans,
We have concluded our first week of the school year through distance learning. I know that this is not the best way to start a school year, but under the current circumstances, It's the best we can do to ensure the safety of all students and staff. I also understand that things were not perfect, and we have much work to do, but I am committed to making this the best educational experience for our students. I appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue to balance classes and adjust student's class schedules. Out goal is to have all schedules and classes balanced by August 21st. Additionally, I have included a handy document that can serve as a one-stop-shop for you to get assistance for many different issues your student might encounter. You will find that "FAQ for Student Issues" attached bellow.
We also start textbook distribution this week. It is really important for every student to follow the schedule and the directions attached. All students coming on to campus must wear a face covering, maintain appropriate social distancing and must adhere to county health guidelines for entering our campus. Students will also undergo touch-less temperature screening before they enter campus. Any student that does not clear the screening process will be sent home and will need to return at a later date. Also, this is not a time for students to socialize. Any student not following directions from staff, will be sent home and may receive disciplinary consequences.
Finally, attendance to every class is very important for your success. Attendance will be taken every period, every day. In order for you to be marked present, you must be logged in to your Google Classroom and participate in class. Grades will reflect your mastery of academic standards this year. We are no longer working on grade improvement only. So it is very important for you to do the right thing, and put forth your best effort!
Thank you!

Home of Champions!
¡Gracias!

The Latest Information From SUHSD
Message from SUHSD Regarding Google Classroom Disruptions
Good Evening Students and Families,
We want to first thank you for all of your efforts over the past couple of days in helping us successfully begin the 2020-2021 school year.
Unfortunately, it has been reported to us that there have been individuals who are entering online classes and creating disruptions to those classes. While we are continuing to look into this matter, we want to take this opportunity to emphasize that the safety and wellbeing of all of our students and staff is of utmost importance.
Despite the fact that we are in distance learning, it is our expectation that students conduct themselves in a manner that is respectful and maintains a safe and positive learning environment. This means that we continue to take several important precautions, including not sharing class access information with those who are not in the class and changing your password to something unique to you.
While we continue to work with our district and staff on protocols to increase security and teacher controls, we also ask that you assist us in this very important effort. The digital citizenship of our students is important to the academic success of our students. If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your student’s school.

Buenas tardes estudiantes y familias,
Counseling Center Updates
Spartans,
The counseling team wants you to know we are here for you even though we are working virtually. This semester differs from last year in that you are no longer working under “hold harmless”, meaning that you do have to do all the work your teachers assign and you are responsible for logging in to your classes every day. Please make sure you are checking Jupiter for these messages. You will also need to check your Infinite Campus Portal daily to review your schedule as the counseling team is working on balancing classes and correcting placement. If you need to communicate with your counselor for the following issues please use the links provided below:
