Jarrell Elementary Newsletter - February 13, 2023
A message from the Principal!
Last week, our 3rd - 5th grade students took the Reading Interim Assessment and our 5th graders took the Science Interim. Our students worked so hard and the results showed it! We will be sharing the results with students and parents soon! The Math Interim is coming up this Thursday. Thank you for ensuring that our students get a good night's rest so they can do their best.
We have some fun dress-up days coming up this week, too! We are dressing like 100 year olds tomorrow and dalmations on Tuesday.
Our days are filled with engaging learning experiences and essential skill development as well as important social and emotional growth through making friends, solving conflicts and building confidence. It is crucial that our students are here with us when the school day begins all the way to the end of the day. Please help us ensure that our students have every opportunity to reach their full potential by being in school all day, every day. If there is any way that we can help support, please do not hesitate to reach out!
We are looking forward to a fantastic week!

What are INTERIM ASSESSMENTS?
These assessments are important in giving us vital information about our student's progress in mastering grade level skills and knowledge and preparing them for the next grade level.
Please help us by encouraging your child to get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast and do their best!
IMPORTANT Daily Deadlines!
7:30 a.m. The back doors automatically lock, and you will need to drive around and walk your child in to the building. PLEASE DO NOT DROP-OFF STUDENTS AFTER 7:30. They must be signed in by a parent or guardian.
1:30 p.m. ALL transportation changes must be made by 1:30 by emailing or calling Stephanie Garcia at (512)-746-2170 or stephanie.garcia@jarrellisd.org.
2:30 p.m. Any student checking out early for an appointment, must be picked up prior to 2:30. Our dismissal processes are already in place by that time making it very difficult to change.
At Jarrell Elementary, we are constantly assessing our systems to make improvements for safety, convenience, and time. Observing these cut-off times helps us ensure the smoothest possible processes! Thank you!
Parent Partnership Websites
Attached you will find a "how to" to log into Classlink in English and Spanish. We have noticed that parents are having a hard time logging into online apps. Parents must go the Jarrell's Classlink or you might have issues logging in.
If you have any trouble at all, please give us a call. We are happy to help! Your child's classroom teacher can help as well as our Assistant Principals and Principal.
