Asking for help is a sign of STRENGTH Wolf Pack!!

Attention Seniors!!

Hello Class of 2022 students and parents:

Just a quick reminder that graduation is one mile stone in front of you in June (see our Senior Handout emailed several weeks ago) but we want every senior to have a plan for post high school whether that be a 4 year or 2 year college or university, trade school, the military or working in a family business. Please be sure to read the Daily Bulletin, subscribe to the @whhs.counseling Instragram page and take advantage of our almost weekly presentations on campus at student lunch. We also have many "open lab" events in L-1 after period 5 for seniors on topics like resume writing, college or trade school application help, completing the Federal Financial Aid Form (FAFSA) and much more.

Questions about your plans for graduation? Please see your counselor or check out the resources on our Counseling web page for Seniors.

You got this Class of 2022! Go Wolf Pack!

From beginners to advanced, we have players from all levels! Please come by and check it out! A fun way to spend your Thursday’s lunch and a great way to make new friends!

The Scholarship Club

Students! After graduation, will you be attending a trade school, community college, or 4-year University? If your answer is yes, do you need money to help pay for it? If so, we would like to invite you to attend the Scholarship Club that is hosted by the Counseling Department. At the scholarship club, we will introduce you to scholarship opportunities and provide time to work on scholarship applications under the guidance of a counseling staff member. For additional information, please contact Ms. Womack in the Counseling Office. The club meets Mondays during lunch and period 7 in the College/Career Center (L-1) located across from the library.

Loss of Privilege Policy

Loss of Privilege (LOP) List: This exists to support the idea that our primary function is “Academics First” and that student behaviors and choices need to prioritize attendance and following school rules. Students may earn their way off of the LOP list through attendance at detention and / or Saturday school after talking with their Assistant Principal. They can also lose a privilege that was granted (i.e. serving Saturday School to be eligible to purchase a Dance Ticket, but then repeat actions (or new actions) that put them back on LOP so that attending Dance is no longer available to them and a dance ticket refund is issued). All students begin Semester 2 off the list. Totals from Semester 1 do not count for Semester 2.

See our Loss of Privilege Policy HERE.

Congratulations to Ryder Dearborn and Marina Morales who have qualified to compete in the California State Wrestling tournament this week in Bakersfield! Coach Proctor says, "Thank you so much for all of your support this season, the kids really thrived because of it." Good Luck!!

Congratulations to our winter sports teams for making the playoffs! Unfortutnaly, all teams that made the playoffs did not advance after their opening round games. Shout out to a great season for all of our winter athletes!

Lacrosse Scrimmage

West Hills Lacrosse had its first ever scrimmage this past Friday night! We appreciate all the support and the West Hills students and families in the stands. We are so proud that we were able to make this club a reality!

WH STUDENTS PERFORMED WITH THE GUHSD HONOR ORCHESTRA

West Hills Orchestra students were selected to perform in the GUHSD District Honor String Orchestra concert this past weekend. Students said it was inspiring to play with other talented students from around the district and to work with a professional conductor.

We are proud of Mr. Steve Lorentz, Orchestra teacher, and of our students, who play so beautifully, to have had this opportunity.

Multi-year Calendar

Hello Wolf Pack Students and Families:

Recently our school board approved a three year calendar. For ease of reading and planning for students and families, we brought them together in one document for you. If you could please plan your family time around our announced Summer, Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring breaks, this would help your student stay on top of classroom instruction and learning. We know this is not always possible, but we just wanted to share this for possible advance planning.

Multi-year Calendar for Students and Parents: 2022-23; 2023-24; 2024-25.
